Embarking on a fitness challenge is more than just a physical endeavor; it's a test of dedication and resilience. I had a friend that kept posting her success at become healthy with a gym she had joined named, Fit Body Boot Camp. I was intrigued. I was at an unhealthy place in my life with a bad job and depression which lead to bad eating and not moving my body. I felt tired all the time and the weight continued to pack onto my 5-foot 3-inch frame. The gym does different challenges throughout the year and this one was an 8-week challenge that gave you a meal plan and of course the group fitness workout classes 6 days a week. I really wanted to WIN. I am usually not a very competitive person, but I wanted to see a change and knew this would push me and hold me accountable since I was paying money every week to attend their 30-minute classes. I was allowed one "treat meal" each week, but never took it. I was beyond committed, and it paid off. The challenge was weight loss to muscle gained. I was able to lose 10 pounds and convert an equal amount of muscle at the same time. The community at Fit Body Boot Camp is one of caring and support and I wanted to continue my fitness journey with them. I decided to use my fitness certification and become a coach to help encourage and help other people reach their goals too.
